These are the recommended steps to becoming a new member. New members are welcomed throughout the year. Feel free to stop by any meeting early and talk to our staff!

1. Applications

CEL is a non-selective organization, but we do have an application to get to know our new members. The application allows us to get to know you better.

  • Download and fill out the Member Application

  • Email your completed application to md.exec.cel@gmail.com

2. New Engineering Member Orientations

New Engineering Member Orientations (NEMOs) allow our staff members to get to know new members better and help us match new members to a committee within the organization. After you submit an application, we will reach out to you in order to schedule a time that works for both parties.

3. Begin Attending Meetings and Events

CEL has meetings on Monday nights from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m at Emerging Technologies Building (ETB) Room 1020. During meetings, we will start by going over a general list of announcements to keep everyone up to date. We will then head into a time of worship and afterward hear from a speaker about something relevant to us as Christians and Engineers. We will then wrap things up by going into committee time, where we discuss and plan our various activities. If you are not in a committee, go and talk to our Involvement Executive, Mauricio Munoz-Cano, for instructions on what committee you can be a part of.

4. Pay Membership Dues

Membership costs $75 for the entire 2024-2025 school year. If you are joining for the spring semester, dues are $40. You can pay dues in cash or check at a meeting (see Grace Song or Marshall Schier) or online by clicking here.
